One hundred years ago today … Indian expatriate author Dhan Gopal Mukerji spoke at the Kosmos club, a political/social society.

His Kari the Elephant was available and advertised in the NYC press. It was the first of several children’s books by Mukerji put out by E.P. Dutton.
