The School Library Bulletin

One hundred years ago today … New Yorkers could read The School Library Bulletin of February, 1920, put out by the Board of Education, printed by the local Press of Clarence S. Nathan. Thanks to The Museum of the City of New York, we can, too–part of it at least.

The Bulletin was published “in the interest of school librarians and reading good books.” The February issue was partly concerned with commemorating Presidents Washington and Lincoln during their birthday month. It contained verses and prose in suitable tribute, and a list for further reading.
