Riverside Park, 115th Street



One hundred years ago today … Photographer Walter L. Bogert took photos of Riverside Park and the Hudson River at around 115th Street. On the river banks is the Columbia University boathouse.

These views, and the boathouse, were destroyed a few years later when Robert Moses built the West Side Highway along the shoreline. Here’s what the place looks like today.
